Beauty and the Spring

Step into Spring looking radiant with our top beauty tips!

Winter is so last season.

No more hibernating in front of the TV on Saturday nights with only a tub of Ben and Jerry’s and a Hugh Grant Rom Com for company.

It’s time to say ‘adiós’ to boring nights in and ‘hellooooo’ to fun in the springtime and glam summer nights out.

So, we have been scouring the runways and hitting the shops to bring you our HOTTEST beauty looks and tips.

Take a peek at our dedicated Pinterest board for more spring inspiration.

Big Lashes: Big, bold lashes are back. For the full effect, make sure you curl the lashes before you apply the mascara. Curl once at the base for 30 seconds and once midway up the lash for another 30 seconds and then apply a black mascara.

White eyeliner: To instantly brighten-up your complexion, try a white or neutral coloured eyeliner. To really open the eyes, use it to highlight at the inner corner of the eye and add colour to the look with a sheer pink lip gloss.

Bold brows: Love ’em or loathe ’em, bold brows are here in a BIG way. For that classic Audrey Hepburn brow effect, leave the shape natural and make short strokes with a brow pencil to add extra colour and definition. It’s time to step away from the tweezers!

Undone hairstyles: Messy braids, loose ponytails and nearly undone buns are crucial styles for spring. From beach to runway, there is an undone style for every occasion. Discover styles and tips in this great article from Allure magazine.

A dash of neon: Try the ultimate fashionista eye shade! Sweep a futuristic line of neon green above the lid line or highlight the entire lash line with a bring pink hue. This is all about the eyes so keep the lips simple.

Pop lips: Our absolute favourite trend this spring are bright, bold lips. This look is all about being brave! We love Sleek’s range of cream lipstick; take a peek at our beauty store Vanity Palace and pick up you perfect pop lippy for only £2.99!

flushFeminine Flush: Natural, nude glows are the perfect way to freshen up for spring. To achieve the look, top make-up artist, Pat McGrath suggests mixing pink blushes onto the apples of the cheeks, then applying foundation, concealer and highlighter on the cheekbones. Finish with a light dusting of powder. For the blush, we love Rimmel’s Santa Rose or Pink Rose Powder Blush – just £2.79  in our beauty store Vanity Palace.

Metallic eye-shadow: For that ultimate look-at-me eye effect, sweep molten metallic or silky silver eye-shadow across the lid and into a winged shape. Add lashings of eyeliner to finish the look.

Have fun creating your spring beauty looks! ♥ Rebecca
